Renatae Parker, Dignity Co-ordinator has written a pledge to Doncaster residents.

Renatae Parker, the Dignity Co-ordinator at Edlington Park in Doncaster has written a pledge for residents that she would like all staff at the home to adopt. The pledge is as follows:

Our aim is to please, care and protect every resident,

Treat each resident with dignity and respect,

Listen and support our residents to express their needs and wants,

Respect our residents' rights to their privacy,

Engage with their family members,

Enable our residents to maintain the maximum safe possible level of independence, choice and control,

Assist our residents to maintain their confidence and a positive self esteem,

This is our pledge to maintain a happy environment for you.

WHERE PEOPLE MATTER

 

Jackie Gaunt, Manager at Edlington Park said, "we are incredibly proud of Renatae's work and feel that the sentiments of this pledge are something that all staff at the home are striving to adopt". Renatae has worked as a care assistant at Edlington Park for 4 years and has been the home's Dignity in Care Co-ordinator for several months.
