Phil Hope MP's letter to our Chief Executive, Anthony Massouras, was as follows:
From the Minister of State for Care Services Phil Hope MP
To the Chief Executive,
We have recently celebrated the 3rd anniversary of our Dignity in Care Campaign and I would like to thank some of the people who have helped promote and implement our aim of dignity for all.
Over 14, 000 people have now joined our campaign as Dignity Champions and it is from within this community that many great changes have been possible from often small actions.
My Department's Dignity in Care Team have highlighted your work to me as an outstanding example of good practice and have added it to the Dignity Champions website to help inspire others. It is another important stepping stone to achieve our vision of a National Care Service that is fair, simple and affordable and that treats people with dignity and respect at all times.
Thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm and for caring enough to make a difference. The impact of so many people like you working together for change is fast becoming a social movement that is making a real difference to peoples' lives.
I hope you will continue to support the campaign and wish you luck with your future ventures.
PHIL HOPE
