MIMOSA HEALTHCARE APPOINT SHARON O’CONNOR AS MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mimosa Healthcare, one of the leading high quality care home operators, has appointed Sharon O’Connor as Managing Director of the group, reporting to Chairman Anthony Massouras.
Sharon started in the care sector in 1992 and first worked with Anthony Massouras in the 1990’s. She held operational roles at Craegmoor and Tamaris before joining Four Seasons Healthcare in 2002 when they acquired Tamaris.
During her seven years with Four Seasons, Sharon was promoted from Regional Manager to Operations Director for the North of England, then stepping up to take on the responsibility as Managing Director for all of Four Seasons 50 Scottish homes. During three years in this role she improved the care standard and occupancy across the Scottish division.
At Mimosa Sharon takes overall responsibility for the performance of the group’s 31 elderly and specialised homes in this new role which the company have created. Chairman Anthony Massouras comments;“ I have watched Sharon’s progress and her career develop with great interest over the years since she first worked with me over a decade ago. I have always been impressed by her finely honed commercial instincts and abilities that she manages to combine with a genuine commitment to delivering quality care centred around the needs of service users. She has a number of skills that she will be bringing to my business and her involvement comes at an important time for the sector with the emphasis on quality care and effective operational management.
